Cemetery

The Moora Cemetery is located on Dandaragan Road, 2.4 kms west of Moora's townsite, and just west of Airstrip Road. In close proximity to native bush and farmland, the location provides a place of peacefulness, rest and commemoration. 

The Shire of Moora is responsible for the administration of the Moora Cemetery. This includes Cemetery Records, Plot Reservations, information on the placement of ashes, and ordering of plaques for the Niche Wall or Memorial Garden. Digital Cemetery Platform

To allow families to locate their loved ones within the cemetery more easily, the Shire is in the process of implementing a new digital cemetery platform. This system provides an innovative and convenient experience for the public. More information about the platform will be available in the coming months.

You will need to contact your chosen Funeral Director.

Erection/Repair of Monuments

All monumental works must be approved by the Shire prior to placement and adhere to specifications set out in the local laws. Please contact us on 9651 0000 for further information. Please note, the repair and maintenance of monuments is the responsibility of the family.

Niche Wall and Walk of Remembrance

For further information regarding placement of ashes in the Niche Wall or Walk of Remembrance (formerly Rose Garden), or for plaques, please contact Council Administration.
