Expression of interest – Miling Caretaker for Community Facilities
The Shire of Moora is looking for an enthusiastic and reliable person to become Miling’s townsite very own caretaker. Join our Infrastructure Services team and help us provide excellent service to this beautiful town.
Duties include:
- Taking responsibility for Miling Caravan Park.
- Cleaning of public toilets.
- Cleaning of Miling Pavilion and the Town Hall.
- Comply with all work procedures for hazard identification, risk assessment and risk control.
Essential:
- Demonstrated experience as a cleaner or housekeeper, preferably in a commercial setting.
- Working knowledge of the cleaning industry, including cleaning methods, equipment, chemicals, and safe work practices.
- Developed time management skills, and ability to work without supervision.
- Demonstrated interpersonal skills, and experience working within a team.
- Current C Class Driver's License.
Desirable:
- Basic knowledge of Council operations.
- Working knowledge of relevant Occupational Safety and Health requirements.
Employment is contingent upon:
- Provision of a current satisfactory National Police Clearance.
- A Pre-Employment Medical Assessment including Drug & Alcohol Testing.
The position is offered at Level 3 under the Local Government Industry Award 2020 – industrial agreement.
